Cliffs of Moher – Must Do and See in Ireland
Probably the most popular location in Ireland to visit would be the Cliffs of Moher. And when you go, you know why. The amazing photos you see online, just don’t do it justice. Really, they don’t. It is a jaw dropping view that almost feels surreal. We went and didn’t want to leave, but well our overachieving schedule made us.
We are here to tell you how we visited the spot and how we think it made all the difference with our amazing experience.
We rented a Bed and Breakfast (linked out here) for one night and it was under 15 mins away from the Cliffs. Since we arrived pretty late (9pm, we had to ask our host to wait up for us) we skipped out on our idea of heading to the Cliffs since we were starving, and exhausted, we left it for the next day.

The best thing that happened and what we recommend is that we woke up early the next day. And by early we mean around 5:30am. Quickly threw on some clothes and headed out to the Cliffs. The fact that it was under 15 mins away meant we could enjoy and head back in time to not miss out on our breakfast!
We arrived around 6ish. The parking lot had an open lane so we were able to park and for free. The employees had not arrived yet, so our entrance was free, so even better! At that time, the Cliffs were all just for us.

We saw a beautiful fog roll in and go. We saw the sun getting brighter. We were able to just enjoy the view! If you don’t have to rush for breakfast you’d be able to go to all the sides possible. Unfortunately, since we paid for that convenience and were heading out on the road again, we didn’t get to explore it entirely, but the simple fact that we had it all to ourselves for about an hour (people started arriving just a bit after 7) was so amazing!
If you can’t wake up super early and head on out, you will still have a lovely experience. I mean it is an amazing view! But if you can stay nearby and head over early. You really won’t regret it. Believe me. I absolutely love to sleep, but I don’t regret pushing through and waking up so early for the experience.
